Support Your South West Region: Get Involved from April 2026

As we look ahead to April 2026, the GCMA South West Region is preparing for a period of change and new opportunities. We would like to take this moment to publicly thank Regional Manager, Karen Drake, for her outstanding contribution to the GCMA, both nationally and regionally. Her dedication and support over the years have been greatly appreciated by everyone involved in the Association.

With Karen stepping down, we are now inviting members across the South West to consider getting involved with the Regional Committee in a voluntary capacity. Whether you’re interested in taking on a leadership role or simply offering your support in a specific area, there are plenty of ways you can help shape the future of your region.

Ways to Get Involved

All regional roles are voluntary and carried out in line with the GCMA’s national and regional constitutions. Opportunities include:

  • Regional Manager – providing leadership and oversight for the region
  • Regional Treasurer – supporting the financial administration of the region
  • Event Support – helping to coordinate regional meetings or plan educational content
  • Membership Engagement – working with the GCMA HQ team to grow and support membership
  • General Support – offering your experience or time in any way that benefits members

Volunteering is a great way to give back to the GCMA community, develop new skills, and build connections across the wider network of club managers.
