GCMA SW Region match vs GCMA Wales Region – Wednesday 20th August at Creigiau GC

Captain Mike Wake, gracious in defeat, shaking hands with Wales Captain Gareth Hall on a closely fought match.

Despite being overcast and with drizzle threatening we had a great day against the GCMA Wales Region. Creigiau GC obviously has its own micro climate as it was in lovely condition and beautifully green, unlike a lot of courses at the moment due to the dry weather.

GM Richard Brockman and his team were great hosts and the bacon rolls and meal to follow really hit the spot. The match was a closely fought affair with 3 of the 5 matches coming down the 17h /18th holes. However a 3-2 loss was the final result. Full results as follows;
